The Light We Leave Behind is a guided immersive experience that combines music, architecture, light, water, and moments of reflection across a series of interconnected environments. Guests journey through multiple immersive spaces before arriving at the final performance, with a lounge and bar area offering space to gather and connect before or after the performance.
The experience takes place in the Arts District of Los Angeles. To preserve the sense of discovery and ensure a smooth arrival experience, we keep the exact location private until after your reservation is confirmed. You’ll receive the full address and arrival details in your confirmation email.
The Light We Leave Behind is part live performance, part installation, and part guided experience. At its center is a live performance featuring original instrumental music composed specifically for the space by Emmit Fenn, built around piano and immersive sound. The performance takes place directly on the water, and guests will be seated on platforms that rest just above its surface, placing you fully inside the environment.
The experience is designed to unfold at its own pace. We recommend allowing approximately two hours for your full visit, including time in the lounge and the performance. Please arrive at your reserved entry time. There is no need arrive early or rush.
No two performances are exactly alike. While the overall journey remains consistent, elements of the music, atmosphere, and experience may evolve from night to night, making each performance unique.
You will not. We have designed the space intentionally so you can be completely surrounded by water without getting wet.
We ask that phones remain put away for the duration of the experience. The Light We Leave Behind is designed as an opportunity to disconnect from distraction and fully engage with the present moment. To preserve the experience for everyone, our hosts may kindly ask guests using their phones to step outside briefly before returning.
The experience is designed primarily for adults and older children who are able to remain quiet and attentive throughout the performance. Due to the immersive nature of the experience, we ask that children under 12 years old do not attend.
We want you to feel comfortable and cozy throughout the experience. Wear whatever you’d normally wear for a night out, but keep in mind that the space can get cold at times, so we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket. For your comfort and safety, please do not wear high heels.
The experience does not use traditional strobe effects. However, lighting is an integral part of the performance, and there are moments when multiple lights may illuminate, dim, or change rapidly in response to the music while in complete darkness. Guests who are sensitive to flashing or rapidly changing lights, including those with photosensitive epilepsy, should take this into consideration before attending.

Refunds are available up to 7 days before your scheduled performance, subject to a $10 cancellation fee per ticket. Reservations may be moved to another available date up to 48 hours before your scheduled performance, subject to availability. Within 48 hours, reservations are final and can no longer be refunded or moved. If you’re unable to attend, please reach out as soon as possible and our team will do our best to help.
